This whole week my back has just not been doing so great.
I’m 23 and I’m already have lower back problems. Whaaaat? 😦
Is this common? I didn’t think I would have to deal with back problems for a while. I was actually hoping I would never have to deal with them at all.
I’ve seen my mom in pain and having trouble walking, and last Sunday that was me.
It hurt to get up from sitting down, and all I wanted to do was lay on my bed because I was in so much pain.
Here are 3 reasons why I think I have lower back problems.
- Carrying heavy things- I’m a video person. I sometimes have to carry 2 cameras, a tripod, a laptop, and lenses all day. It’s heavy and not good for my back.
- Bad posture-I’ve always had bad posture and I’ve realized I just really need to be more cautious and find ways to really help myself to sit better and maybe even invest in stuff that will help me do it.
- Sitting all day-My main job consists of sitting all day. I do mostly video editing. I do video editing in the office, do video editing at home, and I seriously just sit all day.
- Lack of exercise-This is big. Exercise is so good for you. I don’t feel like I have time for it, but I need to make time. Exercise not only feels good, but it is good.
My mom told me that stretching helps a lot if you have back pains.
I started going to the orthopedic clinic to get massages too.
